Dom's Story

After 3 and half years as a Corporate Lawyer in his hometown Edinburgh, Scotland - Dom made a bold career move and quit the Law to become a Software Engineer. He moved to Hong Kong in early 2015 and joined the tech startup scene. Later that year he joined Skyscanner's APAC office and moved to Singapore as a Graduate Engineer where he spent the next 3 years developing full stack applications in wide variety of languages.

Dom's ability to articulate and reason whilst developing software, earned him a place on the fast track to Product Management where he could effectively combine his unique combination of skills working out what to build for Users and why. After a year learning from the best Product Managers in the Company, Dom joined 90 Seconds, a fledgling Sequoia-backed startup, to boost their Product Management team and culture. Dom helped implement the companies first Agile methodologies and Lean best practices as well as basic Product Management strategies to scale the Product and Engineering teams.

When the startup resized, Dom took the opportunity to strike out in the areas he was truly passionate about. He began his Consultancy business helping Companies who were making positive changes in the areas of Environmentalism and Social Good. He is determined to generate value for these businesses and use his skills to make a bigger impact.

He now spends his free time volunteering in beach clean-up missions and connecting with people who are looking to make real purposeful change with value-driven businesses. He is an amateur coffee connoisseur so at the very least, you can reach out to him for recommendations on where to get a decent Flat White.
